Issue with macbook air ssd

Hi all,

Most of my users here are using Macbook Air (and ipad).
I am running an Xserver with 10.6.4 with deploystudio rc19.

Restoring a macbook and a macbook pro using a single image works like a charm.

When I try to restore the image on a new macbook air it does not work.
If I take the image of the macbook air to try to install on macbook pro, it fails too

network is ok as I get the repository browsing and macbook imaging.

Is it the SSD the issue or is there other trick ? I am lost at this point

regards
fred

Re: Issue with macbook air ssd

More info is probably required to get a good answer... how doesn't it work, what errors do you get. Does it just crash with a kernel error after the image is applied or does the image fail to apply even?

Re: Issue with macbook air ssd

sorry I have not been specific enough.

I can netboot the macbook air, and get a master from it. I do that using the USB ethernet as I don't have available wifi.
BUT when I try to restore the same master on the macbook or on a pro, I go XDBG message about bad size ( I don't have the logs anymore and no more Air to test )
After reboot, system is no more operational

Is the Air need a special process to deploy it ? Special Netboot, Special image ? does it work only with USB disk boot ?
Does any of you get some success ? I see only old post not really encouraging ...
