-unknown- unsupported filesystem?

Help,

I've been trying to image some linux machines. It images the first partition just fine, but when it comes to imaging the second partition I get the error that it can't image the second partition because it contains an -unknown- file system and is not supported. It is the same format as the first partition, using ext3, which works fine. But, it does use logical volume manager. I had another machine that gave me the same error and I thought it was because it of the ext4 partition. But, it also used lvm. Anyone have some insight on how to work around this?

Thanks
