Hi, I'm new and need a little help

Hi there,

I really hope, that some one would love to help me.

I'm new to DeployStudio, just downloaded and installed it.
But I can't set up the server.

I have a couple of MacPros and MacBookPros.
Right now I use them all for my graphic company.

OS X: El Capitan 10.11.6 (Do I need the server add-on?)

The way I try:

1) I start up the DeployStudio Assistant.
I choose "Setup a DeployStudio Server"

Then it show up a server address. Then I create a username and a password.
Now a window pops up: Authentication failed. It says the server has rejected the login.
So I can't do any other things.

2) Then I try to Create the DeployStudio bootable external drive.
It works fine. It create a bootable drive, but.......
When I start up from the DeployStudio drive, then it try to connect the DeployStudio, but it failure.

Could some one please tell me how to set it up, so I can use it for making an image-installation-file for my MacPros and MacBook Pros.
Thank you.

Re: Hi, I'm new and need a little help

I'm really sorry it has taken this long for someone to reply to you.  It really seems like this forum is pretty much done.  Unfortunately tools like DeployStudio are on the way out as Apple is making changes to the way MacOS fundamentally works and is supported.

You definitely need the server app to use deploystudio.  It is line 1 in the system requirements.  Make sure you download and read the DeployStudio guide.  The guide is getting pretty long in the tooth but it's still mostly accurate.
