DS Setup w/o server, OS Sierra (10.12.6), DS (1.7.8)

I need to image and deploy to a handful of new iMacs and I've always used DS in the past with no issues. However, since the bump up to Sierra, I've run into this problem

- Set up OS and DS on external HD
- ran DS Assistant
- server address—http://127.0.0.1:60443
- type in login credentials
- get same error over and over: The address http://127.0.0.1:60443 is not valid or the host is unreachable.

I've dug through the forums and elsewhere and haven't been able to work around this. Is this a compatibility issue with Sierra? I never had trouble with El Capitan.

Thanks.

Try using https:// instead of http:// for the server. I believe recent versions of DS Server now enforce this. FWIW, I am running DS 1.7.8 server and client "self contained" on USB boot keys running both 10.12.6 and 10.13. It works as expected (10.13 NetBoot is another story...).
