Deploy studio fusion drive workflow

I have read the notes on the post here: http://www.deploystudio.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?id=4914

What I would like to do is a make a workflow in deploy studio admin that will allow any mac with a hdd and ssd to be made into a fusion drive and then have a master restored to, I have made a workflow for a genuine fusion drive but I would like to have a one that will work for 3rd party fusion drives should the need ever arise.

Please note that I am running the latest stable release of deploy studio.

Re: Deploy studio fusion drive workflow

If you use the Fusion task, you should be able to select "First SSH Available" and "First HDD Available" to assemble a Fusion drive.  I don't believe a "real" Apple Fusion drive is required for this.

We've had some issue with selecting the "First" option, instead our workflows "User Selection" for both these items.  Typically for Apple branded drives it's /dev/disk0 and /dev/disk1.  You could do the same for non-Apple drives but you'd need to determine the proper disk number incase it is different.

Re: Deploy studio fusion drive workflow

I tried that with a non apple hdd and ssd in a 2011 iMac as a test, they are both seen in disk utility but not by the workflow.
