1.6.18 on 10.11 server

Is anyone else able to setup a network repository on a 10.11 server?

After getting past the SSL issues of 1.6.17 I can now get past the first login window when trying to setup the DS server, but when I get to specifying the network repository I get:

"Repository access error. The defined repository can not be mounted. Please check your settings"

This is using admin credentials that work to mount it from another computer

Oddly trying to mount that share locally gets me a "This file server is available on your computer. Access the volumes and files locally"

So I'm wondering if 10.11 put in some checks to fail mounting locally shared file systems and the DS Setup is choking on that.

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,

Everything went fine yesterday, I did not see that message when setting up my new server.

Re: 1.6.18 on 10.11 server

In case anyone else sees this, I needed to unshare and reshare the folder before it started working, this was on a server upgraded from 10.10. As I mentioned it was shared ok as other clients could map it so no idea why, but it works now.

Thanks

Re: 1.6.18 on 10.11 server

Hi Dave,
I have seen this issue before when upgrading the server from 10.10 to 10.11. It is an issue with the file sharing and afp when upgrading the server. Yes you do have to either turn off file sharing then turn back on or unshare and reshare the folder to get this working again..
