standalone deploy studio on a macbook pro

Does anyone have a good walk through on how to setup deploy studio on a macbook pro , what I would like to do is use this to image multiple  mac books ?

I presume you will be using ethernet and netboot. The following applies:

You'll want to install Server.app ($20) from the App Store.
Then, it's just like a regular server installation with all the standard caveats therein.

Examples: On an existing production network, with existing DHCP and DNS, do NOT start those services.

The simplest route is to use the bonjour option when building your netboot sets. This won't typically work if you are trying to image machines in different subnets, but then I presume that is why you'll be using a MacBook Pro as your server. For mobility.

if you have a larger managed network you may also need to have a chat with your network admin and make sure that BSDP is allowed to broadcast to other ports on your subnet, otherwise netboot won't work/show up
